They have three indoor water slides: Rapid Remix, Stage Dive, and Record Launch. We went around a few times and then headed over to the Up Tempo Lazy River which is the opposite of the Down Tempo where you could not use a tube because it moves so fast. It's just your typically lazy river, you must get a tube which took a minute but everyone eventually got one. The first thing we decided to do was the Down Tempo Lazy River. We stayed in the Garden Conservatory on the first floor, and luckily Sound Waves was around the corner. All I had to do was show my valid ID and credit card and I was finished! The process was smooth and easy. Gabrielle got there around 12 pm and was able to “pre-check” us in and get all our rooms nearby each other. I was able to check-in to the hotel and get the keys to my room. Parking was easy and the lobby was a quick walk. I decided to self park because I am still not ready for someone else to drive my new Tesla. You can either valet ($40) or self park ($32) your car. If you do not receive them beforehand, do not worry they will give them to you when you check-in. Not everyone in our party received their wristbands in the mail. About a week before my stay, I received my Sound Wave wristbands in the mail along with instructions for the day and other important information. You have all day access to the waterpark the day you check-in and you are allowed to check your bags if the room is not ready. Y ou are probably thinking…well if check-in is at 4 pm and check-out is at 11 am the following day…how will you get to enjoy the waterpark? Maybe you didn’t, but I did. Sadly, Lane will not be joining me on this staycation because of work, so my friend Chelsie will be sharing the room with me and using my extra Sound Waves ticket. So, if you split that between two people it comes out to $115.57 per person for the hotel room and Sound Wave tickets…which is not bad. Tennessee Residents – starting at $194 per nightĪfter taxes and self-parking fees, it came out to $231.14 for a King, exterior view room. Here is the link to the website:ĭavidson County Residents – starting at $169 per night Unfortunately, you cannot go to Sound Waves without booking a night at the hotel so if you qualify for one of the above, then it’s a pretty good deal. Luckily, they have a package deal for Davidson County and Tennessee residents for a one night stay and two tickets to Sound Wave. Anyways, I really was not surprised about the price and I was NOT paying it. During Christmas, the hotel is decorated beautifully for the season. If you’ve never been to the hotel, I would recommend a visit to walk around and see the sights (which is totally normal). At first when I went online to book the room…it was $400 per night. I haven’t been to this waterpark yet, so I was excited to give it a try. She was going back and forth with a lot of different ideas and finally decided to get a room at Gaylord Opryland and go to SoundWaves, the indoor waterpark located in the hotel. Initially, the plan was to get a cabin in Kentucky, but you know…COVID. In November, I was able to enjoy a staycation to celebrate one of my best friends 27 th birthday here in Nashville.
